What is QuizArena?

QuizArena is a free, browser-based live quiz game show platform that lets any host run real-time interactive quizzes for audiences of any size. No downloads, no installations — just open the page and start playing.

For Hosts

Hosts can upload their own questions from an Excel file and customise every aspect of the game — from scoring rules and negative marking to blind auction bidding rounds and background music. A live leaderboard updates after every question so the audience stays engaged.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

QuizArena collects minimal information necessary to operate the service:

• Host accounts: Name, email address, mobile number, city, country, PIN code, and organisation (optional). This is required to create and manage your host account.
• Player data: Display name chosen at the time of joining a game session. No account is required for players.
• Game data: Questions, answers, scores, and session metadata are stored temporarily in Firebase to operate the live game.
• Usage data: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited may be collected automatically.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the QuizArena service
• To authenticate hosts and manage their accounts
• To display live leaderboards and session history to the host
• To send email verification messages (hosts only)
• To generate aggregate, anonymised analytics about platform usage

3. Google AdSense

QuizArena uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to QuizArena and other sites on the internet. For more information, review Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies

QuizArena uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage to remember your session between page loads. These are not tracking cookies. Third-party advertising partners (Google AdSense) may set their own cookies as described above.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

• Firebase (Google): Our database and authentication provider. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Google AdSense: For serving advertisements on the platform.
• Law enforcement: Where required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

Host account data is retained until the host requests deletion. Game session data may be retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes. Player names within sessions are not linked to any persistent identity.

7. Your Rights

If you are a registered host, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us via the Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

QuizArena is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of QuizArena after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QuizArena (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QuizArena provides a browser-based platform for hosting and participating in live quiz game sessions. The Service is provided free of charge to hosts during the trial period, with optional subscription plans for extended access.

3. Host Accounts

• You must register with a valid email address and verify your account before hosting games.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts.
• Trial access is valid for 30 days from the date of registration. Extended access requires a subscription granted by the administrator.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use QuizArena to:

• Upload, share, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or offensive
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Conduct commercial quizzes for profit without appropriate licensing
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform
• Collect or harvest personal information of other users
• Use the platform for any purpose other than its intended quiz-hosting function

5. Content Responsibility

Hosts are solely responsible for the content of questions uploaded to the platform. QuizArena does not review question content and accepts no liability for any content uploaded by hosts. You warrant that your content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

6. Intellectual Property

The QuizArena platform, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of QuizArena. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

7. Subscription and Billing

Subscription access is granted manually by the QuizArena administrator upon request. Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated. Subscription periods are as described at the time of grant.

8. Advertisements

QuizArena displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the Service, you consent to the display of such advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

9. Limitation of Liability

QuizArena is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, interruption of service, or damages arising from your use of the platform. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance periods without prior notice.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms of Service, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
